Your portal includes a dedicated document storage area where you can securely and reliably upload all your documents for easy access and safekeeping. This article explains where to upload them and how the process works.
Note: Maximum number of files: 10. 50 MB limit.
To upload a document in Docs:
- Navigate to 'Docs' from the left-side navigation menu.
- Click 'Upload File'.
- A pop-up window will then appear - you can either drag & drop files into the window, or you click 'browse computer' to upload from your device.
- Once you've uploaded your documents, they will appear under the document uploads section (for example, 'Driver's Licence' as shown in the screenshot below). You can also choose to notify your firm that new files have been added to your portal. To finalise the upload, simply click Upload.
- Once your documents are successfully uploaded, they will appear in your document list, and a success message will display at the bottom of the screen.
NOTES:
-When uploading a document to your portal, the notification will go to your primary professional. You can view & modify your Primary Professional in your portal. If your portal lacks a primary professional, no notifications regarding the action will be sent.
-If you are a guest (personal or professional) uploading a document to a client's portal, the notification will go to the account owner/s.
-If you are a connection of an entity uploading a document to the Entity workspace, the notification will go to the authorised user/s.
To upload documents to a Task:
1. Navigate to 'Tasks' from the menu on the left of your portal.
2. Find the Task and click the 'Start' button.
3. The Task will open in a sidebar. You can drag and drop your documents into the designated area, or click 'Browse' to locate and upload files from your device.
4. After the document(s) are saved to the Task, they will appear as attachments. Click 'Upload and Complete' to finish.
5. Click 'Complete' to finalize and close the Task.
6. Your Task now shows as completed in the 'Archived' tab of Tasks:
7. The document/s attached to the Task can also be found in the 'Docs' area of your portal.
NOTES:
- You can upload multiple files to a Task as requested by firm.
- Marking a Task as 'Complete' will cease all reminder notifications and will send the creator of the Task an automatic notification to let them know you have finalized the task.
